Overview

Cuprinol 5 Star Complete Wood Treatment is a water based product for rough sawn and smooth planed timber. The low odour, all purpose formula prevents insect attack, re-infestation, kills woodworm and protects from fungal decay.

Preparation

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.

Application

Before applying the product test a small area on the surface to be treated.

• Apply liberally with a paint brush
• Apply 2-3 coats
• Apply subsequent coats after the previous has soaked in
• Pay particular attention to end grain, corners, joints and crevices
• Re-treat any surfaces cut after treatment and replacement timber
• This product may cause darkening of some timbers
• Treatment is usually dry within 1 - 3 days
• Drying time may be extended in confined areas such as under floors and in roof spaces
• Ensure timber is fully dry (allow 3 days) before laying plastic floor tiles, foam or rubber-backed carpets, loft insulation, etc
